@burningbird I found your post shortly after deactivating and deleting the Friends plugin just moments ago. After several months, I realised that most of the websites in my RSS feedreader are not hosted by my IRL friends. They are more like acquaintances. My friends do not blog and many of them rarely use social media.
I also do not want to install a Mastodon instance or learn Ruby. I'm a Perl, PHP, JavaScript elder geek.
